oga is a wonderful way for kids to learn to enjoy movement and to begin taking responsibility for their overall health. Teaching yoga to kids is a rewarding experience in which you have the opportunity to make positive and lasting changes in the lives of kids.

Though our online Kids Yoga Teacher Training Program, you have all the tools you need to develop excellent yoga classes for kids. If you currently teach yoga and would like to specialize in teaching yoga to kids, this program may be right for you. Our in-person program is suited for current yoga teachers who want to earn their full Registered Children's Yoga Teacher distinction with Yoga Alliance. If earning this more advanced certification with Yoga Alliance is not what you need at this time, please check out our online program. Please note, that the online program provides credit towards the in-person program.

Our program focus on developing your ability to provide kids with a fun, effective and safe yoga class for the ages of 3 years old through teenagers. The Program focuses on positive teaching techiques, proper sequencing, safety consideration and kid-friendly modifications to make each class a fun and rewarding experience for everyone.

To complete the Program:

To earn your Registered Children's Yoga Teacher certification with Yoga Alliance, you will need to complete the following:

  1. Complete an open book written exam, and design a sample lesson plan
  2. Complete a personal statement about why you want to teach yoga to kids
  3. Sign and submit a Yoga Teacher Ethics statement
  4. Complete all training sessions
  5. Complete your teaching practicum
  6. Complete an Anatomy Coloring Book Assignment

Completing both the online program and in-person program fulfills the requirements for the Registered Children's Yoga Teacher (RCYT) distinction with Yoga Alliance.

Nancy Wile (E-RYT 500), the founder of Yoga Education Institute, created the online teacher training program and works individually with each student who registers for our program. She has been practicing yoga for over 25 years and has been training yoga teachers (through RYT 200 and RYT 500 programs) for over 10 years. She has a doctorate in education from Columbia University and, along with teaching yoga and training yoga teachers, she has spent much time teaching and developing health and wellness programs.
